To relieve pain or even swelling, you can place a cold compress on the cheek. This will help in cooling off the mouth and this will get rid of the pain in your tooth.

Garlic

Garlic is known to have medicinal properties and has been used for a long time. To use it for the relief of a toothache, you will crush some garlic cloves until it becomes a paste.

You will then apply the paste on the affected tooth. You can also chew a garlic clove as this will also help in relieving your toothache.

Peppermint tea bags

You can also use a peppermint tea bag to get rid of a toothache. You will allow the used tea bag to cool, and then apply it on the aching tooth.
